BIO

SYDE SMILES like he has a dirty secret to whisper in your ear. His voice is cool and soft-spoken, lilting in some tones and VELVETY in others. With a slender frame reaching just 5’7”, his physical presence may not be intimidating, but his confidence, his near constant sense of AMUSEMENT, might be. Always watching others with the kind of laughter in his eyes with which someone might watch a kitten toddle around.Though his demeanor is quiet, he is no less CHARISMATIC, at times even endearingly boyish and sweet. How much of this is sincere and how much is facade is hard to tell - as it always is with demons, and HELLHOUNDS are some variety of demon. Like most of his kind, Syde harbors an instinctual and deep-seated itch for destruction. As far as demons go, he doesn’t have much in the way of physical strength, particularly in human form. But what he lacks in brute force, he makes up for in SPEED, capable of moving so quickly it can be mistaken for teleporting.But he touts that he is a lover, not a fighter. Truly he seems to revel in COMPANY as much as conflict, especially HUMAN company… to the degree that many other demons would see him as soft, claim he gets too attached to people who might otherwise be his prey. Syde refutes that much. He’ll insist that his entanglement in human lives is all just a GAME or hobby interest for him, but often the line between what he’s pretending to feel and what he’s really feeling can become obscured, once he’s spent enough time with someone.Where he once dressed as a wealthy dandy of the day, now he’s more partial to SNEAKERS, jeans, cotton T-shirts, sweaters, hoodies. Often his clothes appear worn, his hair a bit disheveled, making him easy to miss on the street at first glance. Even more so when he takes the shape of an ordinary DOG - long, black fur, pointed ears, and an affable face with dark, thinking eyes. Large, but not of any discernible breed, he often moves at a brisk trot, keeping his head low like any stray on the lookout for scraps.

MAIN VERSE : DOG FIEND
The modern era, where beings of a supernatural nature function under the nose of mankind, living either in underground communities or hidden amongst human society. Syde moves between both, but frequently wanders human cities, sometimes as a MAN or sometimes as a DOG.PAST VERSE V.1: SCORCH MARKS
Syde owns a home in 18th & 19th century LONDON, with a modest reputation as either a wealthy young business owner or the son of one... and as a local PARTY ANIMAL, known to host rowdy social gatherings late into the night. Socialites with more money and time than they know what to do with are regulars at his home, as there's never a shortage of entertainment.PAST VERSE V.2: BRIMSTONE BARK
The very early days in the 16th & 17th century, either before Syde had a human form at all, or while he is still adapting to human society. Before his human form, he was still intelligent and cautious, but much more MALEVOLENT, much more BLOODTHIRSTY and prone to violence & destruction. While still acclimating to a human form, he is reserved and standoffish, but still very curious of human interaction.
